SUNS
MULTIMEDIA INSTALLATION
A project created by Łukasz Radziszewski, a multimedia artist. Suns (in polish Słońca) is a multimedia installation, meant to be presented in museums during equinox (both in March and September) for 24 hours. During installation's running time, there are 2 projections of sunsets and sunrises from different places on the earth. In a perfect situation, all those sunrises and sunsets are transmitted in real-time, however, it is very hard to do so - that’s why all the sunrises and sunsets are prerecorded a few days before.
Ryterski created a Supercollider patch, which plays long prerecorded samples, made in different synthesizers. The order of the samples is based on a semi-random algorithm. The result is an ambient music, infinitely fading in and out.
