Genderfuck is an audiovisual piece and exists in two version: an electroacoustic piece, which involves live performance on drum set, and also an electronic piece. In both version the video accompany the music. It has its premiere in February of 2018 in Denmark, and it was performed by Jonas Weitling. Genderfuck is a term describing a practice of blending the differences between genres by mixing elements of both ends of the gender spectrum (i. e. wearing skirt and leather harness). Classical percussionists are some kind of non-binary musicians - they can play on various instruments, sometimes very different from each other. We can say that a percussionist is a social construct, as gender is. Genderfuck consists of multiple themes (e. g. amen break, free improv, metal-style percussion part), combined together in a moment form developing throughout time. This piece is heavily inspired by popular music, but yet it is using a lot of contemporary classical music - composer likes to call this piece a genrebending music, and he creates his music in such a manner since then.
